First week of morning practice

I've been trying to write this email to you for two days now.  It has been so busy at the pool!  What a great "problem" to have!  Practice looks to be going very well and I have enjoyed meeting many of you and your swimmers.

I hang out in the concession stand for now.  Swing in and say hello and pick up your free latex swim cap!  I also have the sizing kit until Friday, so if you do not know what size suit to order...come get fitted while you can! I have had a handful of families that have dropped off their Gatorade and chip donations. Thank you so much! Keep them coming!  We sell your donations to help make money for the team!  And we currently have minimal concessions...honey buns, cinnamon rolls, Gogurts, granola bars and water.  We will be selling more things after our first meet, but in the mean time: DON'T BE HUNGRY OR THIRSTY!

Next week is our first swim meet.  Instead of having a separate kick-off party on Friday night (like in years past), we are combing the two events!  The team is going to provide cups, ice, plates, napkins, iced tea, lemonade, water, and a sheet cake.  We want you to bring your favorite pizza and come chow down with your summer swim family.  Also, since there are no visiting families we need all the volunteers we can get.  We will need all the volunteer spots to be filled before the meet can commence.  Don't be shy, sign up!  It's a great opportunity to figure out what volunteer positions actually do.

Tomorrow we have the trial dive practice at the Bishop State pool.  From 10-12, come try out dive for a day!  If you love it, I will be there to help get you registered!  We must have 8 divers to make a team, so come see if dive is for you!

If there is anything I can do for you, please let me know!

Go, Seahorses!
