Our Programs
From lessons to guppies, transitional team, and swim team, Lake Forest Swim Team caters to all skill levels. We make sure that every new swimmer undergoes an evaluation with a coach to ensure they're placed in a group where they feel both safe and challenged.
Guppies:
Designed for budding swimmers aged 4+, our Guppy program focuses on building water confidence and foundational skills. Participants should be comfortable in water without floatation devices and capable of front paddling with their face in the water. With small group sizes and hands-on coaching, our Guppy sessions provide a safe and supportive environment for young swimmers to flourish. Guppy participation in meets in invitation-only.
Transitional Team:
The aim of this transitional phase is to eventually transition every swimmer to the main team, but progress varies from individual to individual. During transitional practice sessions, our coaches provide hands-on guidance, focusing on stroke mechanics, breathing techniques, and endurance building. Transitional swimmers do not participate in meets until they can confidently swim a full 25 meters and are moved to the Team. In some cases, we may recommend swim lessons before joining the Transitional Team.
Swim Team:
Open to swimmers aged 5-18, our Swim Team provides a comprehensive training environment focused on developing proficiency in all four strokes, dive techniques, and competitive strategies. Beyond mastering the fundamentals, swimmers experience a supportive team atmosphere that fosters personal growth, sportsmanship, and a lifelong love for swimming.
Swim Lessons:
If you're seeking a more personalized approach or if our structured programs don't align perfectly with your child's needs, we offer private or small group swim lessons. Whether it's to build confidence, refine specific skills, or prepare for a transition to another aspect of our program, our coaches are here to help. Contact us via email for information on swim lessons.
